Higher profit, close customer ties and high-growth technological trends - technical services are becoming strategically important for metallurgical plant and machinery producers. For many European machinery manufacturers, services provided on site to ensure the optimum performance of plants have become at least as profitable as the operating result of the company as a whole. With solution-oriented customer demands rising, the requirements for bundled service packages along the whole product life-cycle rise as well. A challenge the forum will discuss in regular working group meetings. The digitalization of industrial processes will of course change the requirements for old and new services on top. Visions for the future include entirely new business models comprising added-value services arising for the first time as a result of the processing of manufacturing data.
The working group is chaired by M. Roland Héquet, General Manager with CMI, Industry Metals PTSA.
Among others Issues for discussion and joint work will include:
- Services as a Business Strategy
- Service organisation
- Customized service models
