The next European Robotics Week will be from 26 November to 2 December 2012. Following the overwhelming success of the first European Robotics Week in 2011 (28 Nov. - 4 Dec.), the European robotics community is greatly enthusiastic to organize the second European Robotics Week in 2012. Last year, there were 360 robotics related events for the public throughout Europe with more than 130 participating organisations in 19 European countries. The Week received considerable local, European-wide and international press attention.
EUnited Robotics as a partner of euRobotics Coordination Action and the central coordinator of the European Robotics Week received very positive feedback from the robotics community who participated in 2011. EUnited Robotics will again take on the role of central coordinator and will coordinate and promote the Week on a European-wide scale.
The European Robotics Week offers one week of various robotic related activities across Europe for the general public, highlighting growing importance of robotics in a wide variety of application areas, and is locally organized in each European country. It also inspires technology education in students of all ages to pursue careers in STEM-related fields, i.e. science, technology, engineering and math.
Please save the date (26 Nov. to 2 Dec. 2012) and contact your marketing departments to organize events and join the week. We need your active participation and support to have another successful European Robotics Week.
