Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from all of us at EUnited Robotics!

Chairman's Report

Dear EUnited Robotics Members,
Dear Readers,

As another record year for the robotics industry draws to an end, here is a quick look at a few highlights in 2015.

Our very first European Robotics Summit in March reinforced our position to jointly take part in shaping the future of our sector.  We got to know our new competitors China and Silicon Valley up close and learned about opportunities, risks, and our own strengths. Of course, there is a lot more work to be done.  I look forward to our next European Robotics Summit in 2017.

A large volume of various reports and studies about robots heightened discussions on the impact of robotics on jobs and society. EUnited Robotics was and continues to be involved every step of the way to present the facts and provide genuine awareness about this dynamic technology.  Fruitful meetings with the European Commission, providing input to the European Parliament, as well as promoting a digitized Europe as planned by Commissioner Oettinger, are just a few examples.

Joint efforts of EUnited Robotics and Messe Munich towards AUTOMATICA Service Robotics 2016 will definitely meet and exceed your expectations. Come and visit us at AUTOMATICA in Munich (June 21-24 2016).

Last but not least, on behalf of EUnited Robotics I would like to congratulate Wilfried Eberhardt on his election as President of EUnited AISBL. We look forward to working together not only within the EUnited Robotics Board but also at the EUnited AISBL level. Furthermore, we are happy to welcome our newest member on board, F&P Personal Robotics.

You have already received information about our upcoming members’ assembly on Tuesday, 9 February 2016, in Frankfurt. Please contact Fariba Khatami (fariba.khatami@eu-nited.net) to register if you have not already done so.

Have a relaxing holiday, a Merry Christmas and a happy and successful 2016.
