Dear EUnited Robotics Members,
Dear Readers,



The countdown is on and preparations for AUTOMATICA 2016 are in full swing. With 850 exhibitors, significantly more participation from abroad, one additional hall and higher number of visitors, this year's AUTOMATICA (June 21-24, 2016) will be the trade show of superlatives. A few of the highlights are summarized in this edition of our newsletter.

This is a perfect opportunity to welcome the newest member of EUnited Robotics, EROWA AG. 

Looking forward to seeing the EUnited Robotics members at the CEO Dialogue on June 20th.  And, looking forward to seeing you all at the EUnited Robotics booth, Hall B4, Stand 421B.

81% of industry managers predict robot boom in German SMEs

This is driven by a new generation of lightweight robots that are more cost effective than conventional industrial robots and work shoulder to shoulder with humans without protective cage (also refered to as cobots).

Based on the findings of the AUTOMATICA Trend Index 2016.



Eighty-one percent of automation managers in Germany expect that the use of robots in small- and medium-sized companies will increase substantially. Eighty-five percent are convinced that such human-robot teams will expand the application fields of automation. Another 86 percent are convinced that digitally networked industrial robots will revolutionize production methods
