Chairman's Report

Dear EUnited Robotics Members,
Dear Readers,

We kick off our first newsletter of 2016 highlighting the booming sales of industrial robots which continue unabated in line with the forecasts. On a cross-sectoral basis, the international market value for robotic systems now lies at more than 32 billion US dollars, according to the International Federation of Robotics (IFR). This certainly is a milestone in our lifetime.

Whether in medicine, agriculture, transportation, or logistics, professional service robots are increasingly penetrating the market. The technological breakthroughs in human-robot collaboration will enable robots to work hand in hand with human staff, helping them to perform complex and routine tasks. This development is highly significant with substantial socio-economic impacts - and its progress is closely monitored by EUnited Robotics. It was the focus of this year's Schunk International Expert Days and will also take center stage at the upcoming AUTOMATICA in June.

Please save the date for our next EUnited Robotics Members' Assembly on Dec. 8th, 2016, in Brussels, as well as the EUnited Dinner Debate on Dec. 7, 2016, also in Brussels.

We have a fully packed newsletter for you with great information.

Enjoy the read.
