Countdown to AUTOMATICA 2014

There is a lot going on this time at the AUTOMATICA (June 3-6, 2014) in Munich, only a few weeks away.  For the first time, the largest worldwide robotics and automation trade fair, AUTOMATICA, is keen on highlighting the professional service robotics sector, with a clear focus on business.   With their experience and know-how, both EUnited Robotics and Messe Munich have teamed up to kick-off this project and are busy with the final preparations.  So far, 51 service robot companies have confirmed their participation as exhibitors and more are in the process of finalising their confirmation. 

One of the major events during these 4 days among others will be the AUTOMATICA Forum 2014, a presentation and discussion forum to catch up on the new applications of automation.  The Forum this year will focus on Blue Competence, Service Robotics, Optimised Production, and Industry 4.0.  For more details and the programme click here.

Commissioner Neelie Kroes will be present for the opening of AUTOMATICA 2014 and will participate in a press conference followed by an organised tour of the trade fair.  She will also announce the official establishment of the Robotics Public-Private Partnership now recognised as a contractual agreement between the European Commission and the private partner, euRobotics aisbl. 

As in previous years, EUnited Robotics is organising the booth of the EU-funded robotics projects.  The EU-funded projects' booth occupies almost 100 m², with 4 funded projects so far, plus ECHORD++ disseminating information about the ECHORD follow-up project.  euRobotics aisbl will also be present with a small lounge. The EU-funded projects' stand is in Hall A4.135.

This year, EUnited Robotics will share a stand with the IFR (International Federation of Robotics).
