AUTOMATICA Service Robotics Demonstration Park

In a joint effort with Messe München and Fraunhofer IPA, EUnited Robotics initiated a Service Robotics Demonstration Park at the upcoming AUTOMATICA, held in Munich from June 21-24, 2016.

Experience human-robot-collaboration and mobile robotics
The Service Robotics Demonstration Park is a joint exhibition area to make the broad range of applications for professional service robotics visible.

Visitors will be able to see robots in action, interact with them, touch them without any risks and even use them for various assistance tasks - or they can see how robots are performing service tasks like cleaning the floor autonomously.

Exhibitors will have the possibility to show their robots in action and use an open space in the middle of the exhibition area as well as various aisles within and on the periphery of the Park.

In addition to mobile robot solutions, exhibitors can also display classic stationary industry robots to showcase examples of human-robot collaboration.

The open stand concept and the ability to directly interact with the robots invite visitors to spend time in the Park and exchange information with participating exhibitors.

Moderated show including introduction of selected service-robot solutions
In keeping with the proven concept of previous years, the Demo Park will also feature moderated shows at set hours to introduce selected service-robot exhibits. Each show will include expert interviews and live demonstrations of individual robot systems that will also be shown on a big screen. All Demonstration Park exhibitors automatically take part in the show. Exhibitors with separate stands can also apply to participate, however stands should be located in the immediate vicinity of the Park.

How can I participate?

Any exhibitor who would like to present an attractive exhibit that satisfies the above criteria can apply for a place in the Service Robotics Demonstration Park and participate in the related Service Robotics Show. However, the exhibited product/s should be commercially available or at least close to the market.

Please note: exhibitors must book an individual exhibition stand in keeping with the conditions of Messe München in order to apply for the Demo Park.  Once their application for the Demo Park is approved they are free to cancel the individual exhibition stand if they choose to.

The financial implications/costs are as follows (if the application is a success):

  • You may present the selected exhibit at the Demonstration Park in addition to your previously booked exhibition stand. The exhibit will be on continuous display at the Park and will be tended to and demonstrated by an employee. In this case, no additional costs are incurred for participating in the Demonstration Park.

  • Your presentation at the Demonstration Park can replace your previously booked exhibition stand, i.e. your company only presents itself at the Demonstration Park. In this case, the participation fee is € 3,000, which includes the following services: PC table with poster board and electrical connection, brochure stand, central marketing, cleaning and security in the Park.

Each exhibitor is provided with an info stand in the Park that is equipped with a PC table, a poster board and a brochure stand.

An independent committee including representatives of Messe München as well as the research and industrial sectors will decide which exhibitors can participate in the Service Robotics Demonstration Park. If you would like to participate, please complete the application form in English and send a scan of the signed form and up to three representative photographs of your exhibit to the Selection Committee no later than April 15, 2016. Responses regarding participation in the Service Robotics Demonstration Park will be sent out on April 30, 2016.
